On February 9, the cheering will begin for the USA Olympic team members to a successful Olympic competition.
The excitement builds as the day gets closer to the opening ceremonies and all of our favorite winter sporting events.
The 2018 Winter Olympics will feature 102 events in 15 sports. Four new disciplines in existing sports will be introduced in Pyeongchang, including big air snowboarding, mixed doubles curling, mass start speed skating, and mixed team alpine skiing.
That means there are 102 gold, silver and bronze medals going to the best of the best. USA has 242 athletes representing our wonderful country consisting of men and women from the age of 17 to 36.
“Thank you” to the athletes for the years of dedication to their sports. Three cheers to their families for their support and encouragement and to the coaches, we salute you for the time and effort in training our fine athletes.
