Take a step back into the 19th century world when you visit the Cappon House. This historic house was home to Holland’s first mayor, Isaac Cappon. He was an influential community leader and was a father to 16 children. The house is still filled with the families personal belongings and furnishing. During the holiday season you and your family can walk through this historical home at your own pace and enjoy Christmas carols, holiday treats, and even decorate your own holiday card or ornament.

Frederik Meijer Garden’s & Sculpture Park is beautiful all on its own. Add the beauty of sparkling lights and holiday decorations and this is a magical winter wonderland! On display will be Christmas and Holiday Traditions from around the world with the glow of nearly 400,000 thousands lights, rooftop reindeer, and Christmas carolers
They do an excellent job in honoring holiday cultures focusing on the authenticity of each holiday tradition. As you walk through you will see different trees adorned with personalized decorations. For example: Germany’s tree will have handmade glass hanging from its branches and England’s tree with antique Christmas cards.
It’s truly a fascinating event that not only brings educations but a sense of joy as well.

New Year’s Eve can be tricky to celebrate when you have younger children. Luckily for you BAM! in Holland offers it’s ever popular Rock & Glow bowling. You and your kids can ring in the New Year together by bowling with black lights and big screens playing todays popular (kid friendly) music! It gives you a chance to still celebrate and have the kids in bed on time.
