Summer is now over and school is back in full swing. This does not mean that all the fun is over, in fact it’s just starting! Fall is one of our favorite seasons, it’s cooled down a bit and the colors are gorgeous! Our cute little city of Holland has so many fun events going on this month that you will not want to miss out on. They’re great for the whole family and they’re all on the weekends so they won’t disrupt your new back to school routines.
Labor Day Board Walk
(Heinz Waterfront Walkway, Holland MI 49423)

Bring your walking shoes! This four mile annual walk will start by the Heinz factory, take you through Kollens Park, Window on the Waterfront, and end at the beautiful Windmill Island. At the end you will be invited to enjoy a pancake breakfast while enjoying the scenery of the gardens.

Labor Day truck Parade

Bring your headphones because this parade is loud! This fun event will showcase all of the companies’ trucks that make West Michigan an amazing place to live. These big trucks will rumble downtown Holland and stop at the Civic Center. Free food and fun prizes will be handed out at the end of the parade.

VanRaalte Civil War Farm

The VanRaalte Farm once again is hosting this annual reenactment. There will be two days of music, historical figures, medical scenarios, venders, and battles. Head over to this historical farm in Holland and take in all its beauty character.

Holland Hospital Park2Park ½ marathon and 5k race

The Park2Park race is organized by supporters of Neighbors Plus which is a Christian Community Development Program that provides help to children, individuals, and families and helps them reach next step goals. This is a great run for beginners and pros and the course takes you along the lake shore which is a huge bonus.
