John Ball Park Zoo: What we did, and what we should have done

Events

If you’ve ever been to John Ball Park Zoo, most likely you’ve taken a picture of your kids on the John Ball statue at the park entrance. We had our staff pictures taken at the zoo and had a blast! However there is a list of things we wish we would have done.

We started our morning navigating the grounds, looking for perfect spots to take pictures and were overwhelmed by the beauty of the zoo and the animals that live here. We ended up with some gorgeous pictures thanks to the amazing staff. As the day went on we started to think about all of the activities John Ball Zoo has to offer and began our “bucket list”

1. Two words: ZIP LINE! It is a four story 600-foot line that flies you over the zoo. What better way to take everything in!

2. Camel rides!

3. Feeding the sting rays.

4. Sky ropes course, only some of us are daring enough to do this.

5. A ride on the funicular. (The specialized tram to the Bissel Treehouse)

The staff has dedicated their lives to keeping these animals happy and healthy all while creating an environment that is exciting for everyone. This is just the tip of what John Ball Park Zoo and Zoological Garden has to offer so make sure to check out all of the fun things going on this summer and help them celebrate 125 years! We will definitely be back for another adventure!
