The Holidays may be over but the fun doesn’t have to be!

January may be a blistery month but there are still plenty of things to do in the area that will be fun for your whole family!

 

Pigeon Creek Park

This park has a wide range of activities for all ages. Pigeon Creek lies on 282 acres and has over 10 miles of winding trails for hiking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. They have a well maintained lighted slope for daytime and nighttime sledding, and they offer three different levels of ski lessons.

Winter Market

150 West 8th St. Holland MI 49423

January 6 – April 21, 2018 on the first and third Saturdays

The farmers market in Holland doesn’t just come around in the summer! From the months of January to April local farmers come to showcase their winter crops, breads, and produce. You are invited to bundle up tight with a cup of coffee and enjoy all these hard workers have to offer.

Griff’s Icehouse Public Skating

Admission $5.50/adult and child

Skate rental $2.50/pair

Do you love ice skating but hate winter weather? If so Griff’s Icehouse is the perfect place for you! They offer an open public skate during different times throughout the week. This is such a fun activity for you and your whole family to enjoy together. You’re able to rent skates and trainers for those firs timers. Not into spending your day on the ice? No problem! They have bleachers that you can comfortably sit in while the rest of the family races around on the rink.

Winterfest Grand Haven

Thursday, January 25 – Sunday, January 28, 2018

Winterfest in Grand Haven takes place at the end of January and there is something during this extended weekend for everyone in the family. Winterfest began in 1979 and has grown every year since. Here you can enjoy a large variety of events such as Sleepwalker run (run in your pajamas), photo contest, human sled, bonfire bash and so much more!

This event will help break up the winter blues by getting everyone out of the house and be active!
